Statistics and Test Rules as Chart Titles - Chart statistic values can be displayed anywhere within the title area of the chart. In addition, the current set of Out-of-Control test rules can be displayed anywhere within the title area of the chart.
Cusum Charts - Cumulative summary (cusum) charts are now supported. You can easily position the mask to any subgroup by clicking on the subgroup.
Expanded Chart Styles - Chart style options have been expanded and the chart style editing form has been improved.
Parameter Queries - Charting from a data source that requires input parameters is now supported. Databases such as Oracle and SQL Server allow you to define a stored procedure that accepts input parameters. For instance, a stored procedure might specify two input parameters, Starting Date and Ending Date, so that data falling between those two dates is chosen for the chart. You can store a default value for each input parameter in the chart definition. You can also specify to prompt the user to change the input parameter values prior to drawing a chart. When this type of chart is drawn by CHARTrunner-e the user will not be prompted to change the input parameters and the default values established by the chart definition will be used.
Filtering on a Stored Procedure - Now you can define a CHARTrunner filter condition for a stored procedure in a database such as Oracle or SQL Server. This filtering is performed after the records have been fetched by the stored procedure.
Up to 10 Lines on a Multi-line Chart - Prior versions of CHARTrunner allowed a maximum of four data lines. Now you can have up to ten data lines on a multi-line chart.
PNG Chart Images - Chart images can now be saved as a Portable Network Graphic (PNG) image file. This is good news because PNG chart image files typically are smaller than a JPG image and they are lossless. JPG images files introduce some loss of image quality due to the compression technique used. PNG files do not produce any loss of image quality. Modern web browsers, such as Internet Explorer and Netscape, can display PNG images.
CHARTrunner 2000 generates SPC charts and performs statistical analysis using data that is collected, stored, and managed by other applications.
CHARTrunner eliminates the need for complex importing, time consuming exporting, and tedious data entry. That's because CHARTrunner does not store or modify data. Instead, it retrieves data from other sources and uses the data for SPC charting and statistical analysis. CHARTrunner clarifies data so that you can focus on quality improvement--not data management.
You should not install CHARTrunner 1.6 into the same folder where a previous version of CHARTrunner (such as 1.5) is installed.
Both versions of CHARTrunner can be safely installed on the same computer thus allowing you to try out the new features of CHARTrunner 1.6.
Note for CHARTrunner 1.1 users: When a 1.1 chart definition is modified in CHARTrunner 1.5 (or higher) the format of the file is changed to the new XML format. Thus, after 1.6 is installed you should copy your 1.1 chart definitions to a different folder for use with 1.6 so that you can retain your 1.1 chart definitions in the old format.
The CHARTrunner SPC charting engine may used to form a system integration solution for your quality control charting needs. The CHARTrunner SDK contains documentation and sample code that demonstrate how to automate CHARTrunner and how to integrate it with other systems and applications. Click here for more information.

CHARTrunner 1.6.87 (and higher) has been configured to work with Oracle stored procedures. Prior versions of CHARTrunner may experience various problems when dealing with Oracle stored procedures, particularly with respect to stored procedures having input parameters. For the latest information on fetching chart data via Oracle stored procedures please visit the KnowledgeBase and perform a search for Oracle.
